MEDITATION THERAPY Meditation is the process of calming the mind and making still the body to create a feeling of inner peace and well being. Too often in our increasingly hectic daily lives, we don't take the time to slow down and simply "be". Meditation and visualization have the ability to connect the mind and body to the spirit. It can tune one in to the more subtle energies necessary for healing many conditions. The simplest meditation is to become aware of the breath. Some kinds of meditations/visualizations help in treating chronic conditions, for example high blood pressure, fatigue and chronic pain. There are many meditations that have different affects based on one's individual needs. Dr. Harijot says, "I just listen to some soft music and I just let myself go... within."
